COVID-19: Another Round of Two Weeks Lockdown Begins as Total Cases Hit 6,175
The federal government Monday announced another round of two weeks lockdown covering Lagos, FCT Abuja and Ogun state.
Government also announced that the nationwide curfew, including ban on interstate travel will continue.
Kano state will also remain in a lockdown until June 1.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Mr. Boss Mustapha as having received the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) last night announced 216 new cases bringing the total to 6,175.
The agency also said 1,644 persons have been discharged while 191 have died so far.
In the new cases announced last night, Lagos led with 74 cases followed by Katsina with 33, Oyo – 19, Kano -17, Edo – 13, Zamfara -10, Ogun – 8, Gombe- 8, Borno -8, Bauchi- 7,Kwara -7, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) – 4 , Kaduna -3, Enugu -3, Rivers -2 cases.
