The new Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Dr. Bashir Jamoh Tuesday took over from his predecessor, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
Dakuku’s four year tenure ended March 10, having been appointed in March 10, 2016.
He handed over to Jamoh at a ceremony held in the board room of the agency in Apapa, Lagos.
This was as President Muhammadu Buhari sacked two directors of the agency.
The affected directors include the Executive Director Operations, Engr. Rotimi Fasakin and the Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Alhaji Gambo Ahmed.
The President was said to have appointed a new Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services in the name of Hon. Victor Ochei.
Ochei was the former Speaker, Delta State.
