Police Move to Forestall Attack over Killing of Iranian General
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, Sunday issued a red alert to officers to prepare to forestall any attack over the killing of an Iranian General, Quasem Soleimani, by the United States.

In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, the IGP has ordered that red alert be placed on Commands and formations nationwide.
According to the statement, the proactive measure followed intelligence report that sequel to the recent killing of an Iranian General, some domestic interests are planning to embark on massive public disturbances and sabotage.
The statement reads, “Consequently, Zonal AIGs and Command Commissioners of Police have been directed to ensure maximum surveillance and security of lives and property across the nation.”
The Commands and formations were directed to ensure covert police operatives that will protect lives and properties.
While warning trouble makers, the statement assured Nigerians and foreigners that they will be protected.
