Customs Discovers 21-Trailer Load of Tramadol, Others in Warehouse

No fewer than 21 trailers of tramadol, codeine and other banned drugs have been discovered in a Lagos warehouse.
The discovery was made by the operatives of a unit of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Strike Force.
The drugs were discovered where they were concealed in a warehouse along Oshodi-Apapa express in Lagos.
This was revealed by Customs Public Relations Officer, Mr Joseph Attah who briefed newsmen Friday.
Attah who said the drugs were being evacuated to a safe custody, added that some people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
He said that the owners of the consignment took advantage of the just ended holiday to move the drugs to different parts of the country.
He said some of the trailer load of the drugs were intercepted at Maryland, Ikeja.
The arrest of the trailer according to him led to more investigation during which others were discovered at the warehouse along Oshodi-Apapa express road .
