NSC Urges Importers, Exporters to Patronize Kaduna Dry Port
The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) has called on importers and exporters to patronize the Kaduna dry port.
The Director, Abuja Liaison office, Muhammad Abubakar, who made the call last week Thursday during Abuja Shippers Association’s 2nd Quarter General Meeting said doing so has a lot of benefits for shippers.
According to Abubakar, shippers who use the dry port will enjoy cost effective operations.
He also called on shippers to follow rules and regulations guiding the shipping business, adding that the Council was always in support of their businesses and will encourage them to do what is right.
He explained that Infractions on the part of the shippers constitute major stumbling block on the clearance of the cargo.
Abubakar added, “I request the executive members to sensitise the members on the need to be on the right side of the law when conducting shipping business as this is very important.
“Also they should sensitise members on the existence, operations and cost benefit of using Kaduna inland dry port.
“I strongly believe that by patronising the Kaduna Inland Dry Port, you stand to gain more and you incur less operating cost.”
