Train Crushes Four to Death in Lagos
A tricyclist and three other passengers were Tuesday crushed to death in Lagos by a train.
The incident occurred at Agbado area of Lagos.
An eye witnessed said the tricyclist had tried to take a last chance to cross the rail before being crushed by the moving train.
According to the eyewitness, the tricyclist was stuck on the rails before the train ran into it.
It was gathered that one of the passengers in the tricycle escaped unhurt before the accident occurred.
The incident had attracted many passers-by who blamed the tricyclist for taking such a chance which ended up wasting the lives of passengers.
The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu said the incident occurred in the morning hours.
According to LASEMA General Manager, Adesina Tiamiyu, the agency received the distress call via the emergency toll free number 112/767 about the accident at the Iju area, Shina Peters Road Iju Ishaga.
Tiamiyu blamed the accident on the recklessness of the driver of the Keke.
