Ugwuanyi, Ihedioha, Sanwo-Olu Win in Enugu, Imo, Lagos as INEC Suspends Rivers Election
The candidates of the People’s Progressive Party (PDP) in Enugu and Imo states, Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Emeka Ihedioha were among those declared winners by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Sunday after the Saturday election.
The two were former Chairmen, House Committee on Maritime.
Ugwuanyi was re-elected while Ihedioha was just elected for the first time as governor.
In Lagos the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the poll against his PDP opponent, Mr Jimi Agbaje.
In the overall election, both APC and PDP won in their strongholds.
However, the election in Rivers state was cancelled following eruption of massive violence.
PDP emerged winner in Ebonyi, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, Delta and Abia while APC won Lagos, Kwara, Ogun , Nasarawa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Niger, and Kano as the time of filing this report.
