Atiku Promises to Revitalise Ailing Industries, Records Mammoth Crowd in Kano

It was an impressive day for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano Sunday as the Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was received by a mammoth crowd during a rally in the state.
The rally attracted a massive crowd to the extent that the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano was filled to the brim.
No fewer than 28 persons slumped during the rally because of the massive crowd.
Apart from this, it took four hours for the campaign team on arriving the city to get to the Palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi and another three hours to get to the stadium to address supporters because of the crowd.
Atiku who was overwhelmed by the massive turn out told supporters to punish President Muhammadu Buhari by voting him out on Saturday.
He promised to revitalize dead industries in Kano and boost agriculture.
He said: “I will ensure that among my priorities would be the revitalization of agriculture, industries and commercial activities so as to boost the economy, which has been killed by the APC government.”
With Atiku during the rally were the Director-General of the presidential campaign, Senate President Bukola Saraki, the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondusi and former governor of Kano, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, among others.
Atiku’s rallies in Jigawa, Kaduna and Katsina also recorded massive turnout in what may have frightened the ruling party, All Progressives People’s Congress (APC).
