CRFFN Gets New Registrar
*Smugglers Kill Customs Officer
A new registrar, Mr Samuel Nwakohu, has been appointed for the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) .
He will replace Sir Mike Jukwe who retired from Service in December last year.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who approved the appointment was said to have introduced the new registrar to the CRFFN Governing chaired by Rtd Col. Abubakar Tsanni.
The new registrar who resumed office Friday is a lawyer by profession with 30 years experience.
Meanwhile, smugglers have reportedly killed an officer as well attacked officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) at Kano/Jigawa.
This was contained in a statement by the Command.
It was gathered that the late officer was killed by an over-speeding smuggler.
On the other hand, the smugglers had attacked customs officers at the scene of an accident which they claimed was caused by the operatives of the command.
The Comptroller of the Kano/Jigawa Command, Nasir Ahmed who in reaction maintained that the Service will not tolerate lawlessness, warning that the attackers of the officers would be fished out for prosecution.
